Now you have a clean save file again with no ghosts. But all you have to do is just edit you save file and reduce your total population number by the number of ghosts you have, and voila. Well you can't really do anything from inside the game. But what if you already got some ghosts, what can you do then? Obviously as has been discovered, the way to prevent it is by having average health. You all know the details of how it happens so I wont repeat it.
From what I've understood Ghosts are a result of a mathematical mistake in population calculations by the game.
